Home sellers are now calling the shots not only in Las Vegas but in many parts of the country says a new Century 21 report.
There is less inventory of homes for sale and more buyers coming into the market as buyer confidence continues to increase which is making sellers less willing to negotiate on price and contingencies. In the recent survey, 42% of active homebuyers had placed an offer at least once in the previous 6 month, however only 11% of their offers were accepted.
Buyers are rethinking the positions and strategies as 85% said they have been willing to compromise to get a deal done. Over 29% of buyers have paid more than the planned and 31% had purchased a home in “as is” condition. Over half said they would be flexible on the closing date with home sellers.
